Abstract

The article highlights gender stereotypes in “everyday” anecdotes. The anecdote is a form of manifesting
gender stereotypes. The main gender stereotypes in “everyday” anecdotes representing men’s and
women’s folly were analyzed. English “everyday” anecdotes reveal negatively marked stereotypes os males’
dominance.
